About

We are delighted to announce our virtual Christmas raffle 2021. This year we are fundraising for our new LDN Community Hub project.

The brilliant prizes include theatre vouchers, Christmas hamper, local beer and wine, pasta making course and life drawing classes.

We are extremely grateful to all the businesses who donated prizes this year.

Thank you: ATG Group, The Young Vic Theatre, Enrica Rocca Cooking School, The Winery, Hampergifts.co.uk, Mini Picassos, Real Drinks and Ignition Brewery! We couldn’t do this without your kind gifts.

Reopen our community hub

We are raising money to refurbish and reopen our building in Westminster for people with learning disabilities. This will mean we can run a varied programme of activities supporting people of all ages, enabling them to make friends and integrate into the community.

People with learning disabilities have been badly affected by the coronavirus pandemic. As well as high mortality rates (6 times that of the general population), they have missed out on activities and been more lonely overall than the general population.

The new hub will be somewhere people with learning disabilities can visit for advice, learn crucial life skills, including around health, finance and employment, and develop meaningful relationships.

About LDN London

In 1962, a group of mothers founded the charity when they could find no adequate local services for their children with learning disabilities. We now support over 275 people across London, ensuring they have opportunities and can lead the lives they wish to.

60th Anniversary - Reopen LDN Community Hub from LDN London

LDN London turns 60 this year!

As part of our 60th anniversary we are aiming to raise a minimum of £60k to get our LDN Community Hub project started. We want to refurbish and reopen our building in Westminster for people with learning disabilities.

The money raised will enable us to run a varied programme of activities supporting people with learning disabilities of all ages, enabling them to make friends and integrate into the community.

The hub will help people develop crucial social and life skills. Loneliness and social isolation have affected many people during the pandemic, but research by the Government and charities suggests the highest levels of loneliness are for people with learning disabilities. We want to address this. We want to make a space that is fun, inclusive and brings joy.

We are grateful for your support. By contributing to this campaign you are helping us as we support people with learning disabilities to BE HEALTHY, STAY SAFE and LIVE WELL.

Thank you!
