Support LDN London this Christmas and give a gift to enable us to support people with learning disabilities to be happy, stay safe and live well.

LDN London is celebrating our 60th Anniversary next year and we are aiming to raise at least £60k over the year to start up a new LDN Community Hub Project.  All funds raised over Christmas will go to starting off this campaign.

As we turn 60, we want to create a community hub where people with learning disabilities can make friends, learn to live more safely, and develop skills so they can work.

The coronavirus pandemic was difficult for everyone. But for people with learning disabilities, it highlighted the health inequalities and limited access to digital skills that already existed. People with learning disabilities already had higher levels of loneliness than the general population and were more likely to have difficulty with simple digital skills and using the internet.

We want to change this – to help people with learning disabilities make genuine connections, take care of themselves, and to develop independence and more control over their lives. With a new community hub and the funds to hire a team member to run it, these ambitions will be possible.

60th Anniversary - Reopen LDN Community Hub from LDN London

LDN London turns 60 this year!

As part of our 60th anniversary we are aiming to raise a minimum of £60k to get our LDN Community Hub project started. We want to refurbish and reopen our building in Westminster for people with learning disabilities.

The money raised will enable us to run a varied programme of activities supporting people with learning disabilities of all ages, enabling them to make friends and integrate into the community.

The hub will help people develop crucial social and life skills. Loneliness and social isolation have affected many people during the pandemic, but research by the Government and charities suggests the highest levels of loneliness are for people with learning disabilities. We want to address this. We want to make a space that is fun, inclusive and brings joy.

We are grateful for your support. By contributing to this campaign you are helping us as we support people with learning disabilities to BE HEALTHY, STAY SAFE and LIVE WELL.

Thank you!
